On September 9, 2024, the Venerable Master Hsing Yun Digital Humanities Research and Development Center hosted a discussion meeting at Fo Guang Shan to advance the development of the platform’s thematic website. This project covers four main components: digitization operations, archiving systems, thematic websites, and intelligent search functions. Its goal is to comprehensively preserve and showcase Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s Dharma achievements through digital technology, aligning with the celebration of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s centenary and the 60th anniversary of Fo Guang Shan’s founding, while presenting the first-phase digitization results.

The meeting focused on discussing the content structure and web design proposed by SYSTEX Corporation for the thematic website. The project team, consisting of monastics with expertise in Humanistic Buddhism, literature, information technology, arts, education, and Buddhist history, has preliminarily finalized the website’s layout and features after multiple discussions. During this meeting, Venerable Master Tzu Hui and Venerable Ru Chang were specially invited to provide guidance. The results of the meeting demonstrate the continued advancement of the project, and participants expressed great anticipation for the future development of the website. They are eager to launch a digital platform that will offer the public an in-depth understanding of Venerable Master Hsing Yun’s Dharma legacy.
